Paul André is currently co-Head of the Accounting and Management Control Department and KPMG Financial Reporting co-Chair. Paul teaches financial statement analysis and business valuation in the MBA and various MS, EMS and executive education programs. His research has focused on the topics of financial reporting, earnings quality, corporate governance, ownership structures, auditing and mergers and acquisitions. Paul has published numerous articles on these topics (Contemporary Accounting Research; Journal of Business, Finance & Accounting; Corporate Governance: An International Review,…). Paul is also associate editor at the Journal of Business, Finance & Accounting and on the editorial boards of Contemporary Accounting Research and Finance Contrôle Stratégie. He has been a professor previously at the University of Edinburgh, HEC Montréal, UQAM and University of Ottawa and visiting scholar at Paris Dauphine, Paris XII, Concordia University... In addition to his academic work, Paul is a Canadian Chartered Accountant (C.A.) and has worked for one of the Big Four auditing firms.
